Two actors play 22 characters in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas, with Arles and Thurston narrating the action from their 275-watt radio station. Bertha Bumiller and her three kids, Didi Snavely and her used weapons, Petey Fisk and his stray animals of all kinds, Pearl Burras and her murderous ways (blue jays), and Vera Carp, head of the Obscene Committee of the Smut Snatchers of the New Order, all have their moments.
