In-Person Auditions: August 10 from 12-5p at Columbia Academy's Upper School Auditorium, 1101 West 7th Street, Columbia, TN 38401. Instructions to the location on the campus will be included in your confirmation email.
For your audition, prepare a monologue and a song selection, either from the show, or from a different show of similar style, each no more than one minute long. Provide sheet music or have recorded accompaniment on hand. A dance combination will be taught in groups; wear dance attire or clothing you can move in including shoes (character/stage shoes, flat heel shoes such as ballet or jazz shoes). Each audition appointment will last up to an hour long. If callbacks are needed, they will take place on August 13. Please indicate if you are available on your conflicts.
Rehearsals: Rehearsals will take place in Columbia beginning Monday, September 1, scheduled weeknights beginning at 6:30p and Saturdays between 12-5:30p. Not all roles will be called to every rehearsal. A table read will be held Tuesday, August 27 at 6:30p.
Performances: They will take place at Columbia State's Cherry Theatre, October 18-27 2024.
