Williamson County Parks and Recreation is proud to operate an exceptional and award-winning Children's Theater program. WCPR received the Sizzle Award for Best Youth Arts Program in Williamson County in 2019, 2022, and 2023. Children can participate in productions, theater classes or workshops offered at several of our various recreation facilities. 

WCPR Children’s Theatre features 7 different theatrical programs, with 5 audition based ones, including summer intensives. Their company strives to cater to education and practice in several different facets of theatre. One of these programs includes Starbright Players, their long-standing program of 25 years in Williamson County, for ages 12-18 performing 2 Mainstage musicals a year. They also have the “Straight to the Stars” program, catered strictly to plays for upcoming freshman to graduating seniors, as well as the newly developed program as of 2023, “Stars to the East” bringing performing arts programs to the College Grove region. The company is invested in dedicating commitment to the youth and spreading the arts to our local community.
