Look What the Tide Brought In: A Celebration of AAPI Films

Kindling Arts Festival - 20% off passes using links below

A celebration of Asian and Pacific Islander filmmakers and multimedia artists, Look What the Tide Brought In will feature work film creations from artists including Erik Sharpnack, Randa Newman, Amanda Lee Adams, AJ Johnson, and James Kyson, in partnership with API Middle Tennessee and Shoes Off Entertainment. Lead curator and organizer Josh Inocalla, who presented a reading of this theatrical work How to Clean a Wound at last year's Kindling Arts Festival, will also share excerpts from Code Switcher, the feature film he is adapting from last year's reading. A multifaceted collection of films ranging from the comedic to deeply personal, Look What the Tide Brought In examines themes of race, culture, and immigration while shining a light on local AAPI artists and nonprofits addressing these issues in our city.

Thursday, July 18 - Sunday, July 21. SPECIAL OFFER - 20% OFF - Standard Pass for just $92, VIP Weekend Pass for just $132. Individual show tickets also available. Various locations.
