The Monsters have arrived in Nashville, and they're ready to play ball! It's the first annual Monsters-Versus-Humans Sporting Competition & Cultural Exhibition, and the stakes are high as life-size fuzzy monsters take the field against actual Nashville residents in a sporting contest that mixes improvisational comedy with the excitement and antics of a minor league baseball game. What is Monsterball? Who will take home the coveted Monster Cup? And why is that Monster holding a comically large ice cream cone!? With nostalgic throwbacks reminiscent of Jim Henson’s creations an the legendary Space Jam film, this intergenerational sports-theater experience is fun for all ages. Bring a blanket and watch the sunset as America's favorite pastime gets turned on its head by some of the city's most talented movement actors and improvisers in an all-ages show that explores how — old and young, human and Monster — we are all better when we play together. 

NOTE: This is a free, outdoor performance scheduled for Saturday, July 20th at 6pm in Richland Park. If there is inclement weather, the performance will be rescheduled for the same time/location on Sunday, July 21st.
